The Killers is an American rock band formed in 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The band is composed by Brandon Flowers (singer) and Dave Keuning (guitarist). In 2002, Mark Stoermer (bassist) and Ronnie Vannucci, Jr. (percussion) will complete the band! The group gets its name from a group imagined by New Order in the clip of “Crystal”. They return on the front of it with the release of their album Day and Age on November 24, 2008. Then after a 4-year interruption during which Brandon and Ronnie respectively released a solo album they return with Battle Born.

The band entered the studio in 2011 after a four-year break to record a fifth album, Battle Born, their fourth studio album. This is the album that follows their previous opus, Day and Age released in 2008. On July 10, 2012, the first single of the album makes its appearance on the canvas and on the radio: Runaways.

The song later comes out on download platforms like iTunes on July 17 in America. It will not be released in Britain until 9 September. On July 26, the clip is put online and collects 1 million views in just 4 days.

I Feel It in My Bones, their annual philanthropic piece, is released in December 2012. In September 2013 is published Shot at the Night, a piece unpublished before the compilation Direct Hits.
